Happy Planet Podcast was founded by investor and entrepreneur, Abigail Carroll.  

Abigail runs Happy Planet Capital - a seed investment fund investing in projects that aim to make the planet a bit happier. Abigail serves as Entrepreneur-in-Residence and Business Mentor at Boston-based SeaAhead Ventures. She is an advisor at the UK-based Bright Tide. Abigail invests along with fellow members at Paris Business Angels (France), Maine Angels, and Blue Angels (Boston).

With over 20 years experience with start-ups in the US and Europe Abigail has acted as entrepreneur, investor, consultant, and employee. Her industries range from Aquaculture, Technology, and Tourism, to Fashion, Wellness, and Publishing. She has been a retail investor for 25 years.
 
Abigail has spoken publicly on the subjects of the environment, entrepreneurship and aquaculture at venues such as TEDX, the Boston Athenaeum, Maine Live, Gulf of Maine Research Institute, The  Waynflete School and many more. Her publishing credits include articles about oysters, the environment, France, and cowboys in Global Geneva, Portland Press Herald, The Bangor Daily News, This City Paris, and The Daily Telegraph (UK’s broadest circulated daily). 
 
Abigail is past President of the World Affairs Council of Maine, an Advisory Board Member of the community arts organization, Engine, and a member of the Biddeford Shellfish Conservation Committee.

Abigail received an MIA in Banking and Finance Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. She speaks English, French and some Spanish.
